It is with sad acceptance I am entering this for sale, I have owned this Morris Oxford Series 2 for about 8 to 10 years, when I bought it, it drove, etc BUT the head was cracked. So I got another head, had it checked, and thought ‘lets do it all’ so whipped the engine out. Now this was around 2016/18, I had at least the crank ground, rebore, head checked and faced, flywheel faced, got new piston kits, crank bearings, etc.. At the time it was over £1,100, so now that would be kinda double. Obviously there is a lot more to spend, I do my vehicles for love not finances, I got some panels from India, ad new front & rear screen rubber fitted, it was all part of my plan to make it a useable classic I have NEVER restored to show condition, I only drive or ride my vehicles Time went by and my wife’s health started to fail, then I followed, we both took early retirement to the country to enjoy our lives together (so far 44 years).

I have to admit all things considered it will never get done, not by me. The car rebuild has not started, the engine is inside my house, the interior is how they say FUBAR, then body, paint, tyres, etc…. It will only be a labour of love for someone as you can find the odd runner for £3k So if you wish to buy or swap for this I must ask that you arrange collection from me in Somerset, near Radstock or Frome, and if swapping drop off my vehicle in exchange.

You will need a trailer or a set of wheels and some time to free off the brakes (if locked on, not tried to move yet).. Cut out the Henry Cole Haggling, I love his programs but his haggle attitude gets on my nerves, I have the V5C in my name, sell cash £2,000.00 or swap for a running (with good engine) but can be tatty, Suzuki GT550 or GT750 both 2-stroke Triples, Kawasaki KH400 mag wheel model, Yamaha RD350LC or RD350LC YPVS, Yamaha TDR250, late short stroke TR650 Triumph or late Harris T140 Bonneville. 07474128407 if no answer text as I live in a valley and reception is ‘variable’ Some people have asked if the bikes are for sale…
